Nutrition is so important for a healthy lifestyle - our staff has expertise in learning what is best to eat and why.
For instance, when a woman becomes pregnant - should she eat differently? Pregnancy is a uniquely wonderful time - it is a great time to improve your eating habits. We recommend fruit, vegetables, lean protein, and minimizing processed foods.
Is my prenatal vitamin enough for my baby? Make sure you take a prenatal vitamin that includes both folic acid and iron, but also omega 3.
Why is omega-3 important? We have learned that omega-3 is healthy for mothers and her children. There is growing evidence that omega-3 helps the cognitive development for a baby (in utero) and during toddler stages. Omega-3 has been shown to improve vision and mental development in infants. Ask you Ob/Gyn for a prenatal vitamin with fish oil.
We offer printed information on nutrition that is based on the following series (featured on the ObGyn Alliance website)
